  1. The Account can be opened on behalf of the girl child by her parents or legal guardians upto the age of 10 years.
  2. A maximum of 2 accounts can be opened by a parent, and in the case of twins, a total of 3 accounts can be opened.

  4. Minimum amount of Rs. 1000 and maximum amount is allowed Rs. 1.50 lakh in a year.
